BristolFurs code of conduct

Please read this document thoroughly before attending any BristolFurs events. BristolFurs will not consider a claimed lack of knowledge of the rules as an excuse for breaking them under any circumstances.

This document lays out the conditions of attendance between you (the attendee) and the BristolFurs community and management team (BristolFurs) and acts as a code of conduct for all who attend our events.

The attendee is bound by this agreement in its entirety when they attend any event hosted by BristolFurs or engage with Bristolfurs’ online spaces. For ease of readability only, terms have been separated into In-person and online.

This code of conduct is subject to change at any time without notice. Please review this document regularly and note any changes.

Code of conduct in online chat

For the purposes of this document, any of the BristolFurs online spaces where users can join and converse via text, voice, or any other medium with other members is defined as a “chat”.

The attendee agrees that if they breach any of the terms listed in this document, they may be subject to action from staff. This can include but is not limited to: Chat timeouts, Chat bans (temporary or permanent), Formal warnings, Walk bans (temporary or permanent), Meet removals, and meet bans (temporary or permanent). The appropriate action(s) will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

The attendee also agrees that BristolFurs staff may take one of the aforementioned actions against the attendee for any reason under their discretion even if the attendee is not strictly in breach of the terms listed in this document.

The attendee also agrees that any decision made by the BristolFurs committee is final and may not be subject to review unless significant new information is made available.
